My responses to Athena's Topic
First this topic is about two versions of one story. They are both great. Actually I really like stories especially the ones that tell you something only happens once or some world ending events. There are also another thing that I have to point out story writing is something that I also prefer at home by myself. There are also a interesting fact that is the two version of the stories are telling something about limited time is forever . Timing is very important . For flowers that only bloom one night that timing establish a type of order that only happens once a year and only that night, that offering people to glance deeply in time, the best chance prepared to show the right one with full feeling and love. Art is the same.

See what the story is about at below

Version 1:
The Night Blooming Cereus used to be a flower nymph who bloomed everyday, throughout all four seasons. The flower nymph fell in love with the human who tended for her, day by day. However, when the Jade Emperor found out about their relationship, he cast a punishment over the flower nymph: from then on, she shall bloom only once a year, and her blooming time will last very shortly. Not only that, the Jade Emperor also sent the human to a temple at the top of a mountain, to become a monk, so that he would forget the flower nymph.

Many years later, the human monk no longer remembers her, but the flower nymph is still holding onto her memories of him. She is aware that he treks down the mountain after dinnertime to fetch water; therefore, the flower nymph chooses to bloom at the side of the human monk's path, in hopes of awakening his memories upon seeing her. But he never does.

Version 2:
The Night Blooming Cereus used to be an ordinary flower in a garden full of beautiful blossoms; one that nobody spared a glance to, until an artist came by. Days passed, and the flower noticed the sadness in the artist's eyes. It turned out that the artist was ordered by the empress to paint the most charming flower that she had never seen. If he failed to do so, he would get executed.

Knowing the deadline was drawing near, the flower prayed to be the fairest, at the price of only blooming once before she withers. The night before the artist's time was up, he visited the flower again. The flower bloomed before his eyes, as the finest of them all.
